May was a quality-of-life month. No big new surfaces, just a lot of sharp edges sanded down across chat, calls, channels, and meetings. Here's what's new.
Channels
- Voice notes in channel posts now show a waveform preview before you tap play
- Schedule channel posts up to 14 days in advance
- Top-followers view for creators with more than 1,000 subscribers
Meetings
- Smart scheduling suggests times based on the chat's timezone spread
- Pre-meeting reminders fire 10 minutes before instead of 5
- Meetings now auto-create a follow-up thread when they end
Chat & search
- In-chat search is roughly 4x faster on long threads
- Jump-to-date in any conversation - pick a date, land at that day's messages
- Voice notes show a transcript on long-press (English first, more languages coming)
Fixes worth calling out
- Android: fixed the rare crash when opening a chat with 10,000+ messages
- iOS: notifications now respect Focus mode correctly
- Web: dark mode no longer flashes on tab switch
